Highroad Consulting Group is proud to announce that the state of California has awarded its client We Care four annual cannabis licenses, two for cultivation, one for manufacturing and one for distribution. These annual cannabis licenses are four of the first to be granted within Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City and Riverside County where WeCare operates.
We Care’s licenses add to Highroad’s track record of success in cannabis licensing. The cannabis consulting team has won over 60 licenses in four states over five years. Highroad plans to expand into Florida this year.
The annual licensing process is an important rite of passage for California cannabis companies. The state currently faces a backlog of license applications that threatens large numbers of cannabis businesses whose temporary licenses will expire over the next few months. California lawmakers are working on a plan to fix the problem, but no solution currently exists.
“We’re glad Highroad was able to secure our official annual licenses before our temporary licenses expired,” said George Verstraete, Owner of We Care. “Alicia and Ryan are such a pleasure to work with. They’re very detailed and timely on any and all responses.”
“We Care has been with us since the beginning and it’s been rewarding to help them get one of the first annual cultivation licenses granted here in Desert Hot Springs,” said Simone Sandoval, Director of Licensing and Compliance at Highroad. “This is exactly what we love to do – helping cannabis entrepreneurs get up and running and making a profit while staying compliant.”
We Care runs cannabis cultivation, manufacturing processing, and full-service white labeling operations in Desert Hot Springs and Cathedral City. Highroad Consulting Group provides end-to-end consulting services to cannabis businesses, from strategic planning through licensing, operations and exit strategy.
